The Ninth Grade Academy ball field is heavily used by children from both Lincoln County and the City of Fayetteville, due to its central location. Its utility to the city and county communities has resulted in considerable wear-and-tear on the facility, both cosmetically and physically. In addition, there are a number of upgrades to the original facility that can be made which would increase its safety, its usefulness to the community, and the lifespan of its components. The Leadership Lincoln Class of 2006-2007 proposes to undertake a tiered approach to improvements to the field during the period between now and May 31, 2007. Leadership Lincoln 2006-2007 will raise funds and accept material and labor donations from the community for any phase of work undertaken. Such fund-raising will be crucial to the class’ ability to undertake each phase of the project, to the timing of each phase, and to whether or not all phases have been undertaken by the conclusion of the project in May 2007. PROJECT 1 – Leadership Lincoln Class of 2006-2007 Press Box. Repair and upgrade the press box facility to add to its appearance, usefulness and longevity.
PROJECT 2 – Repair and paint the outfield fencing and associated equipment.
PROJECT 3 – Repair and upgrade the bleacher area.
